Social Justice STEM Ed collaborates with local environmental justice organizations to turn their research and innovations into K-12 curriculum. This gives students the opportunity to learn from local STEM leaders, interact with real-world data and technology, and leverage their learning to solve issues impacting their community. Social Justice STEM is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core State Standards for Math & Literacy so that it can be integrated into any content at any grade level. Participants will dive deeper into the work of Social Justice STEM, be inspired by the work students across the country have already done, and have access to the newest curriculum resources we’re developing so they can start implementing it in their classrooms!
