Rigorous Questions to Restore Students: Developing Academic Circles

Many times teachers see restorative circles as a way to do community building and check-ins of status of the class, but how do you transition full academic discourse into the circle setting as a way to help students deal with their own trauma? This workshop will present the personal exploration of the presenter in the first half, and then ask the participants to create their own ideas on what texts and questions to ask to drive these restorative conversations.
